What exactly does the microbiology course involve? As the name suggests, the microbiology course deals with microorganisms such as fungi, protozoa, viruses, bacteria, etc. Simply put, microbiology is a combination of mycology, virology, parasitology, bacteriology and other branches of microbial research. The course is more focused on the study of these microorganisms for the prevention and treatment of human diseases.

They’re both study courses. Hones Microbiology and Bachelor of Science. Microbiology courses have the same duration of 3 years and it is a UG program. In both programmes these three years are divided over six semesters. There would be two semesters per year and each semester a different set of topics and subjects would be taught.
B.Sc. Hons/B.Sc. Microbiology Course: Eligibility criteria
Admission criteria for Honours/B.Sc. This also applies to microbiology. However, there may be differences in some universities or colleges. But the basic selection criteria will be the same across India.
- The candidate must have completed the twelfth grade. I graduated from high school.
- The candidate had to pass 12. Completion of the first class of an educational institution recognized by the Government of India.
- He had to study physics and chemistry as his main subject, as well as biology, botany or zoology.
- To be admitted to the course, the candidate had to take and pass the corresponding entrance examination organized by the state, centre, university or college. (Not required at this time)
