When choosing an Amazon sales plan, ask yourself if you’re going to sell a large enough number of items each month at a high enough price to choose a professional plan, or if you’re better off going with a basic plan.
If you’re not sure how many items you’ll be selling per month, it’s best to start with a basic rate and then consider switching to a professional rate if you decide it’s worth it.

Or, if you have a particularly large number of followers on your social media accounts, you can apply to become an Amazon influencer. In this case, you will still be promoting and selling products, but you will have your own page on Amazon where you can choose which products to promote.

Handmade crafts for sale on Amazon Handmade
Do you have a talent for crafts, crafts or DIY? Amazon Handmade can be a great platform to start selling your artwork, jewelry, textiles or anything else handmade.
Amazon Handmade is currently offering a reduced referral fee until the 31st. December 2021: from 15.3% to 12.24% (with a minimum referral fee of £0.25).
If this option works for you, you should also look at the commissions associated with sales on Etsy. We recommend that you do some calculations to determine whether you will earn more or less on each item, depending on factors such as the selling price of your item and the cost of postage and packaging.
Shipping by Amazon

If you can drive and have a car in college, delivering packages through Amazon Flex could be the perfect way to make money in your spare time.
Amazon estimates that you can earn around £13 to £15 an hour as a delivery driver, but it’s important to remember that you can also end up earning slightly less than this amount.
As an Amazon Flex delivery driver, you work as an independent contractor, so you’re responsible for expenses like mileage, parking fees, and tolls. This means that if you earn £13 an hour, some of that money can be used for rates.

Sales via Fulfilment by Amazon
To ensure you make the most money as a seller on Amazon, you need to research which is best for your business – Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) or Fulfilment by Merchant (FBM).
If you are just starting out, FBM is probably the best choice for you. This means that you are responsible for the packaging and delivery. But as your online store grows, it can be difficult to manage all the P&P traffic on your own, let alone manage the inventory internally.
With FBA, you can send your items to Amazon’s warehouse and Amazon will take care of the packaging and shipping. Moreover, your ads can attract more buyers to your site by giving them a Prime badge that highlights the speed of delivery.

When people buy your product, Amazon takes care of production, shipping, and customer service, and then pays you a fee for each sale. The amount of royalties depends on the type of product and the price set for your product.
For example, for a standard t-shirt worth € 15.99 the fee is € 2.89 (18% of the purchase price). However, for a sweatshirt costing £27.99, the fee is only £2.52 (9% of the purchase price).

If you are a fan of Amazon devices, you should definitely check out their trade-in program. You can send in your old devices and receive an Amazon voucher in return.
You can use the voucher to get a discount on an item in the same product category (for example, if you return a tablet, you can use the voucher to buy a new tablet).
