The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is the national intelligence and security and counterintelligence agency of India. Intelligence agency: eligibility criteria –

Intelligence Bureau (IB): How do you contact the Intelligence Bureau?
The hiring process for each IB position is different, just like any other law enforcement or intelligence agency, the IB needs many different officers. One of the most common and well-known titles in the IB is ACIO (Assistant Central Intelligence Officer). What is the IB ACIO exam?
The ACIO IB exam is a shortened version of the Central Intelligence Officer Assistant exam. This exam is organized by the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs for the purpose of recruiting candidates for the position of CANO/ACIO. This position is a Class II, Group C, senior-level IB position. The ACIO IB exam is conducted only once a year. The exam is always administered at the national level.

Approximately 1,000 to 2,000 positions become available each year for candidates to apply for. The application process is entirely online and there is no possibility of referring or hiring candidates “behind closed doors.”
the IB ACIO selection process –
To be admitted to the IB ACIO or any other managerial or senior position in the IB, the candidate must pass the examination. In the case of CANO/IB ACIO, the candidate must take the CANO/IB ACIO Level I exam, which is a multiple-choice test consisting of four parts. After passing the exam, the candidate can take the CANO/ACIO Level 2 IB exam, which is a multiple-choice exam. The Level 2 test consists of an essay and a comprehension question. The candidate must answer the essay and comprehension question and pass the exam within one hour.
The results of the Level 1 and Level 2 exams determine a candidate’s eligibility for admission to CANO/IB. If you are eligible for both exams, you will be invited for a personal interview. Following your invitation to the interview, you will be assessed and a list of deserving candidates will be drawn up.

CANO/ACIO IB Level 1 Model Exam –
- 25 Question of general knowledge
- 25 questions in English
- 25 logical and analytical questions
- 25 questions on quantitative skills
All questions are noted and there are 100 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. For each wrong answer, ¼ points will be deducted.
CANO/IB ACIO level 2 model exam –
- 30 points for writing an essay on any topic.
- 20 points for understanding the English language and writing the preface
There are 50 stamps in total and the total duration is 60 minutes.
How do I register for the IB ACIO exam?
Step 1: The candidate should go to the official website of the Ministry of Interior or click here https://www.mha.gov.in/.
Step 2: As the recruitment process progresses, a notification will be posted on the website. Click on this notification.
Step 3: You will find an application form on the bulletin board. Please fill out the application form.
Step 4: You must pay the application fee, complete the information and pay the fee.
Step 5: Once your payment is made, you will need to scan and upload your photo and signature.
Step 6: Submit the application after you have completed it.
After the application is processed, an admission card will be issued in the applicant’s name. You need to download this card from the same website. With this card, you can take the exam. Remember that you need to have an identity document with a photo to participate in the exam.
As mentioned above, at the end of the written examination and personal interview, a list of meritorious candidates will be compiled. If you are on the merit list, you will be enrolled in the program.
The training takes a minimum of 180 days and is divided into three phases. A 60-day training course for each phase. Each phase of training takes place at a different location and is not based on the candidate’s preference. After successful completion of the training, there is a final evaluation test.
